1963-64 Power Brake Fiberglass Hood Insert

Finally a solution for 1963-64 Corvette owners who want to use 1965-67 power brake dual reservoir master cylinder! Historically the only optionĀ 1963-64 owners had when converting to the more efficient power brake dual reservoir master cylinder system was to purchase a 1965-67 hood or cut a piece from their original hood for clearance. Our technicians at Paragon Vintage solved this problem by creating an all new fiberglass insert to modify your original hood, yet retain that factory appearance. Our insert was created by using an original 1965 hood as a mold, giving you a perfect fit. Using the insert as a guide, simple mark off the area on your hood and cut away the insert area. Bond the insert in place and patch up the seam with some minor glass work, now you’re ready to paint! Update your classic ride without suffering any styling.

1963-67 Bulkhead Repair Manual

Most, if not all, of the floor pans of 1963-67 Corvettes are badly cracked and should be repaired, especially before any serious restoration begins. Our illustrated Bulkhead Repair Manual will guide you through the restoration and repair of fractured transmission/drive shaft tunnels. The instructions clearly outline the removal and reinstallation of the metal bulkhead divider panel behind the seats, as well as the fiberglass repair process. The entire strength of the floor area is centered at the rear of the tunnel area (bulkhead) and damage can be easily hidden by the metal divider panel. If you are not sure about the structural integrity of your floor, simply remove the rivets holding the metal divider and have a look. If you see ANY cracks, you need our easy to follow repair guide. This 10 page manual includes step-by-step color photos to walk you through the repair. The manual is available in a printed book or as a PDF digital download. List price is $5.00

1965-66 Seatbelt Retractor Installation

  1. Wind retractor clockwise 7-8 full turns. While winding, be careful to hold retractor firmly in hand.
  2. Turn belt over with opposite hand. Push belt under tabs. Position retractor in the middle of the outboard webbing. (Figures 1 & 2)
  3. Position retractor squarely with belt and crimp tabs securely against belt webbing. (Figure 3)
  4. Check for proper operation of retractor and make and adjustment required.

Installation Notes:

  • If it is necessary to rewind retractor, do not exceed 9 full turns.
  • Caution, do not install retractor to the buckle half of the belt.

Use of belt:

  • Seatbelt must be fully extended when in use. Pull belt so it is fully unwound from retractor, then connect belt and make adjustment at the buckle for proper fit.
